A Simple Solution for Chronic Pain?
It Sounds too Good to Be True...
but it's not!
Life happens.
We experience injuries, accidents, surgeries, or even intense
emotional trauma. In most cases, our bodies heal, and the
pain subsides. But for millions of people, the pain lingers,
turning into a persistent, debilitating condition long after the
initial physical damage has resolved. That pain isn't "all in your
head," but it is "all in your brain" – and it's called Chronic or
Neuroplastic Pain.
Think of your body's nervous system like a home smoke alarm.
Normally, the alarm sounds to warn you of danger. Chronic pain,
however, behaves like a faulty smoke alarm that continues to
screech long after the smoke is gone. Even though the initial injury
has healed and your body is safe, your nervous system remains
stuck in "high-alert" mode due to overly sensitive wiring. This
means the pain you feel is very real, but it no longer signals actual
damage—it is the result of an excessively protective nervous
system. You try medications, nerve blocks, stimulators, and even
alternative therapies, but nothing fully relieves your pain.
Fortunately, there is a solution that addresses your pain at its
source.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT) is a system of psychological
techniques that retrains the brain to interpret and respond to
signals from the body properly, breaking the cycle of chronic
pain.
You can retrain your brain to relieve your pain!
A randomized controlled research study at the University of
Colorado Boulder validated Pain Reprocessing Therapy as the
most effective treatment for chronic pain today. In the group
getting PRT, 98% of patients improved and 66% of patients were
pain-free or nearly pain-free at the end of treatment. These
patients continued to be pain free five-year when participating in
a follow up study.
Pain Reprocessing Therapy is not a magic wand or potion. But
thousands of Pain Warriors have found freedom and relief from
debilitating pain and reclaimed their lives... I'm one of them.

About Lisa.
My Journey from Disability to Freedom
In January 2015, my life changed overnight. What began as a simple trip and fall evolved into a diagnosis of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)—a condition considered the most painful known to modern medicine. For years, I cycled through nerve blocks, implanted devices, and medications, desperately trying to block a pain signal that only got worse. For nearly 11 years I was unable to wear a shoe, or walk or stand for any length of time. Inactivity and stress eating caused my weight to balloon to over 300 lbs. When insomnia, brain fog and pain got worse, I had to close my practice as a clinical psychologist and executive coach. Using a wheelchair became my reality.
My path to freedom required relentless self-advocacy and a comprehensive toolbox. I've learned to manage the physical and emotional toll of pain with tools like Mindfulness, meditation &, prayer, Art therapy, an anti-inflammatory diet, and regular Ketamine infusions.
The breakthrough that truly reignited my hope has been Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT). It has given me a proven path toward not just managing, but relieving my chronic neuroplastic pain. I am wearing shoes again and walking. I completed training and certification in PRT, and I am back to work, helping clients living with chronic pain learn the same techniques that are working for me and thousands of other people.
I believe that by understanding our nervous system
and shifting our relationship with pain, we can all reclaim the lives we love.
In addition to my work as a Pain Therapist, I channel my experience Pain Warrior into action, volunteering as an advocate with organizations like the Regional Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association, the US Pain Foundation, the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases, and the Association for the Treatment of Neuroplastic Symptoms to champion critical change.
My mission is to ensure every "Pain Warrior" has access to:
- Improved funding for CRPS research.
- Better access to treatments like IV Ketamine and PRT.
- Quality support, education, and tools to heal.
When I'm not working, I enjoy traveling with my husband Duke, cuddling with our dogs Daisy & Daphne, and creating with art supplies and fabric.
